Alternative Giving

Looking for a gift for someone who is hard to shop for or who has everything they need? Give the gift of education! An alternative gift through Few for Change can help a hard-working student stay in school. When you make an alternative gift, your donation goes directly to a student’s scholarship on behalf of the recipient. We’ll send you or the gift recipient a customized card, either in the mail or via email, your choice!

Every dollar of your donation goes towards a scholarship: by supporting students in purchasing their school supplies, covering matriculation fees, paying rental costs for rooms required to attend school far away from home, funding travel costs to and from school, or enabling families to pay their electricity bills so that students can do their homework at night. Our scholarships are flexible, with the goal of providing both support for direct educational costs, as well as enough additional income to the family to prevent our students from having to drop out of school to help support their families.

Three Year Scholarship: $1200

Few for Change believes in supporting students long-term.When we award a new scholarship, we ensure that we have enough funding to support the student for 3 years. This removes some financial uncertainty for the students and their families, helping students focus on their studies rather than worrying if they will be able to continue year-to-year. As long as our scholarship recipients persevere in school and maintain their grades, we continue funding their studies for the full three-year term.
