Update from Meeting April 30, 2009

Updates: Brook's benefit dinner is well under way. It looks like the date will be next Friday in Maine. It will be benefit dinner from funding from Bowdoin College. They'll be serving lobster, fried plantains, scallops, (yum). By fortune it turns out there is much funding for this event and the proceeds will be split between FFC and another organization that buys medical supplies for a group in Nicaragua.

FirstGiving a new program set by SIT is designed to utilize the existing networks (made by the study abroad programs) to benefit the communities that so graciously provide the students hospitality and in all, a great experience. After talking back and forth with SIT (WorldLearning) it seems they are already trying to establish a program in Panama, but are unable to extend their project to help us out. However, they have offered to include us in their newsletter and website, and offer that we will gladly accept.

Brochure has been finished thanks to dear Lily and company. It will be accessible via the website soon for print out and download.

Thanks to ALL who are still reading these and for your support/participation. :)
