Brooks is a founding member of Few for Change and has worked to grow the organization since its founding in January 2009. While studying abroad in Panama with the School for International Training (SIT), he visited the Ngäbe village of Quebrada Guabo, an experience that inspired him and his classmates to start Few for Change as a way to improve access to education in the Comarca Ngäbe-Buglé region. Brooks served as the Co-Director from 2010 to 2013 and as President from 2013 to 2014.
In his day job, Brooks is a Community Development Officer at the Island Institute in Rockland, Maine. He received his bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Spanish from Bowdoin College in 2010.
